I mean, really, who among us has not dreamed of meeting her celebrity crush and having said crush fall madly in love with her? Katherine Hole has produced this scenario in Swan., but with a clever twist. The heroine Maddie takes up with the poorly dressed man with bad teeth who moves next door. There’s something strangely familiar about him that she can’t quite put her finger on. We readers see through the disguise far sooner. After a few bumps, a happy ending ensues.
I got a kick out of the British slang. Be forewarned though that some of the language is surprisingly graphic. If you can get past that, this is a fun read.
